dBµV ↔ V Voltage Conversion Table (with 50 Ω dBm)
Reference table of µV, mV, V and the equivalent 50 Ω dBm value from 0 to 140 dBµV.
EMI receiver readings and conducted emission limits are written in dBµV, while spectrum analyzers often display dBm. In a 50 Ω system dBµV = dBm + 107, so the two move directly into each other. That value is the last column of the table.

Formula
V(µV) = 10^(V(dBµV) / 20)
V(dBµV) = 20·log₁₀(V(µV))
Worth memorizing
- 120 dBµV = 1 V
- 60 dBµV = 1 mV
- At 50 Ω, dBµV = dBm + 107
- 107 = 90 + 10·log₁₀(50)
Common mistakes
- Using +107 regardless of impedance. It is specific to 50 Ω; at 75 Ω it is +108.75.
- Using 10·log₁₀ for voltage. Voltage is an amplitude quantity, so it uses 20·log₁₀.
- Treating the quasi-peak and peak readings as the same. For broadband noise the difference is large.
- Forgetting the LISN division factor and insertion loss. Add the values from the calibration certificate to get the actual terminal voltage.
